BOSTON, MASS. With less than 60 days until Election Day, the Patrick-Murray campaign recently announced in conjunction with the Democratic Party that it has already opened regional coordinated campaign offices in 21 cities and towns, and has so far recruited over 7,000 organizers statewide who have committed to identify 50 friends, family members, and neighbors to vote for Deval Patrick and Tim Murray on Election Day. In the coming weeks, the campaign expects to open several more coordinated campaign offices, and the number of grassroots organizers is growing by the dazy.

“Policy only matters at the point where it touches people, and politics is most meaningful at the grassroots,” said Governor Deval Patrick. “That’s why Tim Murray and I are out talking with people every day about the choices before us as a Commonwealth, and building a grassroots network stronger than ever.”

“While our opponents think this race will be won or lost on the airwaves, Governor Patrick and I know that it will be won at the grassroots level, by organizers working hard in cities and towns across Massachusetts,” said Lt. Governor Tim Murray. “Every day, thousands of our organizers are having one-on-one conversations with voters in their area about our efforts to create jobs, and keep Massachusetts moving forward.”

The 21 regional coordinated campaign offices represent Governor Patrick and Lieutenant Governor Murray’s commitment to reaching out to every corner of the Commonwealth. In the past months, both the Governor and Lieutenant Governor have met with thousands of voters and heard their concerns and hopes for Massachusetts.

“Governor Patrick and Lt. Governor Murray have brought positive change to Massachusetts and their strong, fiscal leadership has positioned Massachusetts to recover from this economic downturn faster than the rest of the nation,” said Kaitlin Addams, a Peabody organizer. “I am proud to be one of the 7,000 Patrick-Murray campaign organizers who are working hard everyday to reach out to my friends, family members, and neighbors about the hard work Governor Patrick and Lt. Governor Murray have done, and will continue to do for Massachusetts.”
